How do I check which version of Flash® I have installed?

Visit the Adobe ® website URL:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_15507

This page will tell you which version of Shockwave® and Flash® players you currently have installed. Signstation requires a minimum of Flash® version 7.0. (Back to top)

I am having problems installing Flash® Player (Very good for fixing most Flash problems).

There are a number of steps to undertake that will fix most Flash® problems.

What is Adobe® Flash® Player?

Adobe® Flash® Player is free software that lets you view web content created by Adobe Flash®. This content may be interactive content such as menus that slide, or may be complex programs like games and movies. Many web browsers (Internet Explorer, for example) install Adobe® Flash® Player automatically, but you may need to upgrade it from time to time as Adobe® makes improvements and as websites you visit update their content. Does my permission level affect installing Flash® Player?

When using a Windows® NT/2000/XP operating system, if you don't have administrator level permission you may not be able to install the Flash ® Player successfully. Normally, if your administrator gives you full access to the directory (C:Winnt\System32\Macromed\) you should be able to install both Shockwav®e & Flash® Players. If this does not work, your administrator may have to install the player for you, or alternatively attempt varying levels of permission to determine which works. (Back to top)
