Deaf counselling - based on the Vocational Guidance Standard Model for the counselling of Deaf people in Europe (VOGS)

VOGS is a project set up in the Leonardo Programme to develop a pilot programme for counselling in employment. It has brought together many partners in different countries to review, develop and pilot a new approach to the counselling of Deaf people. At its heart, is the need to involve Deaf advisors, colleagues and counsellors in order to establish trust and effective communication; it is also an approach designed to provide more insight from within the Deaf community. The links below take you to more information on the project and what it has achieved.
